If you land at Narita and depart from Haneda (or the other way round), you have to organise the trip between the two airports yourself. According to the operators it takes roughly 65 to 115 minutes depending on how you travel. This guide compares private transfer, Limousine Bus and train by travel time, price and last departures, so that you can plan your connection realistically. As of 25 October 2026.
Key takeaways
- Most comfortable: a pre-booked private transfer from terminal to terminal, with a fixed fare and an English-speaking driver. With Welcome Pickups* (advertising) from €167 per vehicle for up to four people, about 78 minutes.
- Limousine Bus: ¥3,600 per person (children ¥1,800), 65 to 95 minutes depending on direction and traffic.
- Train: according to Haneda Airport 90 to 115 minutes for ¥1,760 to ¥3,080. The airport names no exact route, so check changes in the timetable.
- Last buses in the evening: from Haneda around 20:20, from Narita at 20:35. Later, only a transfer or an airport hotel helps.
- Plan generously: the bus takes much longer in heavy traffic than the timetable says.
The most comfortable option: a private transfer from airport to airport
If you do not want to haul suitcases through stations and bus terminals after a long flight, book the transfer in advance. It is not the cheapest option, but it is the most comfortable: an English-speaking driver meets you in the arrivals hall, helps with your luggage and drives you straight to the other airport. You pay a fixed fare in advance and do not have to keep an eye on a timetable.
- Welcome Pickups* (advertising): fixed fare, payment in advance, a driver with a name sign in the arrivals hall, flight monitoring and up to one hour of waiting time according to the provider. Between Narita and Haneda the provider states from €167 for a vehicle with up to four people, and from €200 at night (19:00 to 5:59), with a travel time of about 78 minutes (as of 25 Oct 2026). With four travellers that is about €42 per person.
- Kiwitaxi* (advertising): transfers from Narita at a fixed fare that you see before you pay. Haneda is listed there as a destination.
- GetTransfer* (advertising): drivers submit offers here, you compare vehicle and price and choose yourself.
For comparison: the Limousine Bus costs ¥3,600 per person. The private transfer pays off for groups, families, a lot of luggage, or when you travel early in the morning or late in the evening and no bus runs. Check prices and availability with the provider.
Which connection is right for me?
The choice depends on time of day, luggage and group size. The bus is the simplest standard solution, the train the cheaper but less straightforward one, and the private transfer the most comfortable.

How does the Limousine Bus between the airports work?
The Limousine Bus connects both airports without changes and costs ¥3,600 for adults (children ¥1,800). From Narita it takes 65 to 95 minutes depending on time of day and traffic: the first bus leaves Terminal 3 at 6:50, the last Terminal 1 at 20:35. From Haneda the trip takes 65 to 85 minutes according to the airport, the first bus leaves at 6:40 and the last around 20:20. Whether you have to reserve depends on the route, and tickets are available at the counters and machines at the airports. The times come from the timetables of 25 October 2026 and can change.
Because the bus runs in road traffic, the trip can take longer than the timetable in a traffic jam. Build in a buffer, especially if you have a connecting flight on the same day.
How do I take the train?
Haneda Airport gives 90 to 115 minutes for the train and fares of ¥1,760 to ¥3,080 (with IC card ¥1,746 to ¥3,066), on lines jointly operated by Keikyu, Toei and Keisei. The airport page does not say which route is used or where you have to change. According to Keisei the trip from Narita to Haneda takes about 89 minutes without transfer time for around ¥1,800. Check the connection in the Keikyu or Keisei timetable before you travel and expect changes and stairs. With large luggage this is tiring, so bus or transfer is the better choice. How the train card works is explained in our IC card guide.
What if no bus runs any more?
The last buses leave in the evening, and Narita only operates flights from 6:00 to 24:00. If you land later or have to depart very early from the other airport, there are three ways: a pre-booked private transfer (which also runs at night, with a night rate at Welcome Pickups), a taxi (agree the fare with the driver beforehand) or a hotel right at the airport. For early flights our guide Hotels for early flights from Narita and Haneda shows which hotels work with a shuttle or terminal access. You can find the hotels in the comparisons for Narita and Haneda.
